curvenote check

curvenote check builds the project and runs checks on it: a venue’s checks for the kind of submission you are making, or a default set when you name no venue. Each check passes, warns or fails, with a summary at the end, so you can fix problems before curvenote submit runs the same checks.

Projects can add checks of their own through plugins, and they run alongside the venue’s.

Options¶

[venue]: the venue to check against.
--kind <kind>: the kind of submission, which decides the checks; without it you pick from the venue’s kinds.
--collection <collection>: the collection at the venue, which narrows the kinds you pick from.
-y, --yes: take the default answer to every question.

Many checks look at frontmatter, such as authors, affiliations and the license. The Curvenote extension for VS Code catches many of the same problems while you type.
