Article listings

The cn:articles directive puts a live listing of a site’s published articles on a page, newest first. Use it on a landing page, a collection page or a news page. The listing is fetched when the page is served, so new articles appear without redeploying the page.

While you work locally with curvenote start, the directive shows a placeholder that lists its options. The articles appear once the page is deployed with curvenote deploy.

Layouts

Choose a layout with :layout:. The default list sits in the body column like the rest of the page. cards, masonry and magazine span almost the full width of the screen, and start with a rule in the site’s primary color, set under Website & Design in Curvenote Sites. A site with no colors set shows the rule in the text color.

List

The default. Each article is a row with its title, description and the details you turn on, separated by a thin rule.

The list layout: one row per article in the body column, here with thumbnails, authors and dates.

Cards

Masonry

Up to four columns of articles that keep their thumbnail’s shape and show the start of the description, so the items vary in height. The columns reduce to one as the screen narrows.

The masonry layout: thumbnails at their own shape and descriptions of up to five lines, in columns separated by rules.
