Pricing & implementation

Curvenote Reader is delivered as an engagement: a one-time implementation to bring your archive into Reader, followed by an ongoing hosting fee that scales with the amount of traffic and content served.

Implementation

Implementation translates your archive and connects your structured content through an automated XML handoff into Curvenote Reader. This is a one-time project fee.

The cost depends on the quality and consistency of your JATS XML. Clean, standardized XML is faster to onboard, while more variable or legacy XML requires additional work to translate reliably into Curvenote’s internal format. The consultation and sample review are where we assess this and scope the work.

Ongoing hosting

After implementation, Curvenote Reader runs on an ongoing hosting fee that covers the reading site, automated ingestion of new content and versions, and the connected reading experience. It is made up of a base hosting cost plus a component that scales with the amount of content you serve and the traffic it receives.

Custom themes & integrations

Beyond the standard reading experience, Curvenote Reader’s components can be integrated into custom, top-level themes — or brought to life in new ways within your own site and brand. Whether that means embedding reader components into an existing platform or building a bespoke front end on top of them, these are custom engagements scoped to what you want to build.
